Aviation First Steps had a blast hosting STEM workshops with the homeschool community at Mid-Columbia Partnership in November! Our young engineers took on the Zeppelin Challenge, designing and building helium-based lighter-than-air aircraft that could hover and navigate through a tricky obstacle course. Along the way, students explored big ideas like gravity, weight, air density, and lift—discovering how these forces shape every flight.

The creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving we saw were inspiring. These future aviators and scientists reminded us that learning takes off when kids get hands-on with STEM!
