Engineering Flight Test at Mid-Columbia Partnership!

Aviation First Steps had an amazing time with MCP students at our February STEM workshop. Students became engineers for the day—designing, building, and flight-testing their own paper airplanes.

They experimented with different wing shapes, folds, and weights, then put their designs through a flight test challenge to see which planes flew farthest, straightest, and most stable. Along the way, they learned about lift, drag, gravity, and stability—the same forces that real pilots and engineers consider every day.

The creativity and excitement were sky-high, and we loved watching curiosity take flight. Thank you to our fabulous volunteers and  Mid-Columbia Partnership families for joining us!
