Exploring Aviation Careers at Orion High School – Home of the Aviators!

Aviation First Steps was thrilled to visit Orion High School and open the hangar doors to the wide world of aviation careers. Students discovered that aviation is about so much more than flying a plane—there are countless paths to explore!

During our interactive presentation, the Aviators:

• Tried their hand at air marshalling, guiding a Cessna into its “parking place” (simulated).
• Practiced interpreting a real aviation weather report recording, just like pilots hear at airports.
• Took on a fast-paced baggage handling relay, successfully getting every bag to the correct “gate.”

The energy, teamwork, and curiosity these students brought to each challenge was inspiring. Orion’s Aviators showed us that the future of aviation is in great hands!
