What an incredible weekend at the Northwest Aviation Conference!

Aviation First Steps was thrilled to host this year’s Kids’ Zone, and thanks to our amazing volunteers and partners, it was a huge success. Families packed the space all weekend long to enjoy hands‑on aviation fun — from our RC flight simulator and airplane marshaling practice to paper airplane test flights, temporary tattoos, puzzles, coloring, and a lively raffle.

One of the highlights was seeing nearly 200 young aviators complete the Conference Logbook Challenge and earn a prize. Their excitement and curiosity were contagious.

We’re deeply grateful to the Northwest Aviation Association for inviting us to be part of this inspiring event. And a special thank‑you to AV8RS, LLC, for bringing in Miss San Bernardino, an F‑1 air race plane that gave kids the unforgettable chance to sit in the cockpit and learn about this remarkable aircraft up close.

To our volunteers: none of this happens without you. Your energy, kindness, and passion for youth aviation made the Kids’ Zone shine.
